Externado de Colombia University
The Externado University has more than 137 years of history. It is a liberal and secular institution and was one of the first universities in the country to focus on Law. According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 “Law & Legal Studies,” the Law School of the Externado de Colombia University ranks 52nd in the world and second in Colombia. It is at the top of the world rankings for the best law schools in Latin America and is recognized globally. Additionally, in 2026, the Externado will celebrate 140 years since its foundation. Hosting the Congress and highlighting the values it shares with the IACL will be part of this celebration.
